Grand Central. Cage often has live music at night with a nice large outdoor, but covered, stage. Great place to see full bands. They've got a really good West Coast Double IPA - King Krush. Right across the street from PAWs. Easy parking on 1st Ave South.
Grand Central. Dog friendly, dog themed brewery. PAWs has many stouts, porters, and barrel aged beers. They also seem to have a stack of medals for them as well. Large beer menu, with more styles than I just mentioned. Right across the street from Cage. Parking should be easy.
Grand Central. Nice cozy, really small spot. Bartender and bartendresses are usually pretty cool. They have a Berry Crunch beer that tastes just like Cap'n Crunch Crunch Berries; it's pretty wild. You may not need a full pour, but give it a taste. BOGO (buy one get one) beers usually on Thursdays ( check website). Also note, they are only open Thursday to Sunday.
Trendy spot in the heart of Grand Central. Good people and dog watching. Beer menu focuses on European/German styles: Czech Lager, Italian Pilsner, Kolsch, Helles Lagers/Bock, Vienna Lager. Probably, the one place where you won't find an IPA. Oh wait, just checked, they have those too. Parking not bad even though it's right on Central Ave.
Warehouse District. Close to Grand Central. Pretty large assortment of beers and types. Large space. Sometimes bands. Good beer. Full Bird is a good IPA and probably their flagship beer. They've also had a Belgian Tripel in the past which was really good. Easy parking; parking lot.
Warehouse District. Big place, somewhat corporate. Beer is ok and can be found all over. But, they do have a good spot for bands and they have trivia nights and other interesting events. Parking lot.
Downtown (the Edge District). Great IPAs, one might even call them NEIPAs. Lots of other stuff too. Cool outdoor beer garden. Sometimes they have movie nights out in the beer garden playing against the building. Adirondack chairs, fake grass, nice spot to relax on a nice day. Parking can be tough at times, but you can usually find a spot on North 1st within a block or two. It's also a hop, skip, and a jump away from Bodega, the greatest restaurant in all of St. Petes.
Downtown on Central Ave. Hip small spot with interesting art on the walls. Staff are definitely cyclists. This is the spot for intense barrel aged imperial stouts. They will probably have at least 8 available on tap. Small sizes available. Parking could be tough here.
Downtown, 1st Ave North. Not too far from Cycle and Overflow. They sometimes have events. We once found a comedy show here for $5.
Downtown. Near St. Pete Brewing and Cycle. Not too far from Green Bench. The building itself is a giant mural. Inside is basically an art gallery as well. This is your place for sours, but they have other stuff as well. All beers are $6.
Close to Treasure Island. They have a little bit of everything and mostly quite good. I recall an excellent Belgian Tripel served in appropriate glassware. Cool spot, old gas station, main road. Parking lot.
Gulfport. Right in the middle of Gulfport downtown area. Happy Hour 3-6 M-F. Good assorted selection, small beers available. Nice outdoor area, sometimes with live music. Cool neighborhood, little shops, near water, but somewhat touristy.
Requires a little drive north of St. Petes. Pretty big assortment of beers. Small beers available. This place is not really close to much else, but is an interesting and good spot.
Warehouse District. Small coffee shop with a large outdoor area as well. This shop has a pretty eclectic style and also sells all sorts of interesting items, like magnets, mugs, greeting cards, and books. Interesting stuff. Easy parking.
Grand Central. Right on Central Ave. This place can get a fairly long line. Nice room and good people watching. Big long communal table in the middle with smaller tables along the side. Some outdoor seating. Pretty easy street parking and they actually have a parking lot. This place does not have wifi.
Grand Central. Another eclectic shop. This place has an almost junk yard feel to it (in a good way). Sometimes tough to find a table. Dog friendly. Zero waste place, pasta noodle straws. They have a second location that looks pretty cool too, but I've never been. The Grand Central location is visible from Central Ave, but about a half block off. Parking on Central Ave or South 1st should be pretty easy.
Downtown. Edge District. Trendy, sleek spot. Comfy seating. They also have coffee cocktails and other cocktails. Parking can sometimes be difficult on Central Ave.
Downtown. Edge District. Very active spot. Great people watching with many interesting characters and dogs coming and going. This place is also a Kava joint. They have a number of seating options including a long bar, comfy chairs, window seating (to watch sidewalk activity), and seating outside on the sidewalk itself. I think they even have a second floor, but I've never been up there.
